Photo Gallery of our members golfing activities - 2015

To improve our ladies short game, our Captain Karine, has organised lessons with Leslie Cain the head-pro at the GCGD.  There are two groups who have signed up for a series of 6 -  two hour lessons which started in April.  These are a few photos of the first lesson and of the 'stage' at the end of the lessons.

On the 20th of April we had a great time at our Opening Scramble at the GCGD.  Only four flights of 3 competitiors took part, but it was a lot of fun and the lunch afterwards was delicious.  Many thanks to Karine for organising the draw and the prizes!

Karine Silvestro, Vera Pezerico and Diana Dalrymple took part in the Foursomes competition in Morfontaine near Paris at the end of April.  This fabulous competition is held every other year at Morfontaine and the other year at Ravenstein in Belgium.  There are two groups of combined hdcps 0-18 and 18-28.  After two days there is a cut and only 12 teams of both groups compete on the third day.  Vera and Diana did not make the cut, but Karine and her Belgium partner did and they came 7th in the first group!  Well done Karine!!!!

Vera and Diana played the third day on the fabulous 9=hole course at Morfontaine and we chose to stay at the Chateau de Ermenonville about 20 mins drive from the course.

Throughout the summer we organised an 'Evening Scramble' starting at 18:30 pm, playing 2 x 6 holes on the small course at the GCGD.  The evening was always a lot of fun with a very social meal or drink afterwards and small prizes for the winners!

The Länderspiel competition with Germany's 'Mitte' takes place every year.  In 2015 we celebrated the 10th competition between our two countries in Luxembourg.  We played 4BBB matchplay at domain belenhaff on Monday, followed by singles match play at GCGD.  We were delighted that Luxembourg won the two day competition this year!

The annual Triangulaire with France - Belgium and Luxembourg takes place every year.  In 2015 Luxembourg were hosting the competition.  Unfortunately the first playing day was cancelled because the course was closed due to bad weather.  A great day of golf was had by all on the seconf day and Belgium went home with the trophy!  Next year we look forward to competing in St.Cloud near Paris.

Now that the 'golfing season' is finished we organised a social lunch on the 17th of Novemberto update our memebers on some developments for 2016 and to generally meet and catch-up.  A great time was had by the 24 members who attended.
